My name is Shayla Pratt, and I am a former high school counselor with a passion to help students succeed. I currently serve in the role of counseling director for a small school district in the Dallas/Fort-Worth metroplex. As a director, I lead the counseling team to improve student outcomes in the areas of academics, career, and mental health/social-emotional learning.
As a high school student, I remember having the desire to go to college, but I had no idea how I would pay for it. Without the needed guidance and support, I made the decision to take out loans to pay for my college education. With student loan debt looming over my head many years after I received my college degrees, I decided to fulfill my passion of helping students find a way to pay for college without going into student loan debt. As a consultant, I aspire to help students find and secure scholarship money that will pay for their entire college education and beyond.
